Our mission
To stand beside every life in need — delivering education, healthcare, relief and opportunity with compassion, integrity and accountability, so that individuals and communities can live with dignity and self-reliance.
About the Foundation
RUHA Life Foundation is a non-political, non-profit, non-governmental charitable society, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Reg. No. S-15411/2026), to serve people in need across Bangladesh and beyond.
Who we are
RUHA Life Foundation was founded in September 2026 by people who believe that the most meaningful legacy is a life spent in service to others. It is established in loving memory of the late Abdus Samad Mia and the late Rokeya Begum, and every charitable object of the Foundation is dedicated to their remembrance.
Our head office is in Gulshan, Dhaka, and our operational base is in Boalmari, Faridpur — close to the rural communities where so much of our work begins. Our working area extends across all of Bangladesh and, where the law allows, worldwide.
We work across education, healthcare, emergency response, social welfare, livelihoods and community development — serving the disadvantaged regardless of race, religion or geography.
Our values
We serve every person with mercy, respect and dignity.
We are honest, transparent and accountable for every taka entrusted to us.
We serve the disadvantaged regardless of race, religion or geography.
We build skills and institutions that outlast any single project.
Our work is guided by the timeless values of Islam and good character.
We act only within the laws of Bangladesh and with required approvals.
Governance
The Foundation is governed by its Memorandum of Association and Rules & Regulations, through three bodies with distinct roles.
The principal governing body, responsible for the overall management, supervision and control of the Foundation’s affairs, programmes and property. It is elected or selected for a five-year term and meets at least every six months.
Up to seven distinguished advisers, appointed by the Executive Committee, who provide independent guidance on policy, transparency and accountability. Advisers serve on a voluntary, honorary basis.
All valid members of the Foundation. It meets at the Annual General Meeting to consider the annual report, audited accounts, policies and programmes.
