1. How donations are received
We accept donations only into accounts held in the name of RUHA Life Foundation — through bKash, Nagad, Rocket, bank transfer, or any hosted online payment link published on our Donate page. All channels are traceable, as required by our Rules & Regulations.
2. Confirmation and receipts
After paying, please submit the confirmation form on our Donate page with your transaction ID. Once we match your payment to our account statement, we record it in our books and issue an official receipt or digital confirmation — normally within 7 working days.
3. How your gift is used
Restricted gifts (for a specific programme, Zakat or another named fund) are applied to that purpose. Unrestricted gifts are applied where the need is greatest. If a restricted purpose cannot be fulfilled, the gift is applied to the closest related charitable purpose, or we will contact you if you have given us your details.
4. Refunds
Donations are voluntary gifts and are generally non-refundable. However, we will refund a donation where:
- you sent the wrong amount by mistake, or paid twice for the same donation;
- a payment was made without the account holder’s authorisation; or
- a technical error caused an incorrect charge.
Please contact us within 7 days of the payment at donate@ruhalife.org or +880 1893-425245, with the transaction ID, date, amount and method. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment account within 10 working days. Charges deducted by the payment provider may not be recoverable.
5. Zakat
Because Zakat is an obligation that is fulfilled when it reaches eligible recipients, Zakat that has already been distributed cannot be refunded. Mistaken or duplicate Zakat payments reported promptly will be refunded before distribution.
6. Monthly giving
Monthly donations are made by you each month and can be stopped at any time — simply stop the payment and let us know so we can update our records.
7. Protecting yourself from fraud
We will never ask for your PIN, OTP or card details by phone, SMS or social media, and we never collect donations into personal accounts. If someone asks you to do so in our name, please report it to us immediately.
