1. About these terms
This website is operated by RUHA Life Foundation, a non-political, non-profit charitable society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Registration No. S-15411/2026). “We”, “us” and “the Foundation” refer to RUHA Life Foundation. “You” refers to anyone using this website.
2. Using this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading or someone else’s information;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems, or interfere with its operation;
- use the website to send spam, malicious code or unlawful content;
- copy or reuse our content for commercial purposes without written permission.
3. Donations
- Donations are voluntary gifts to the Foundation for its charitable objects. No goods or services are provided in exchange.
- Donations are made directly to accounts held in the Foundation’s name through bKash, Nagad, Rocket, bank transfer or any other channel shown on our Donate page. Never send money to a personal account claiming to represent us.
- When you choose a specific fund or programme, we apply your gift to that purpose. If a purpose becomes impossible or is already fully funded, we may apply the gift to the most closely related charitable purpose.
- Zakat contributions are recorded separately and applied only to eligible purposes in accordance with Shariah.
- We accept foreign contributions only in accordance with the Foreign Donations (Voluntary Activities) Regulation Act, 2016 and after the required registration with the NGO Affairs Bureau.
- Refunds are governed by our Donation & Refund Policy.
4. Membership
Membership is governed by the Foundation’s Memorandum of Association and Rules & Regulations. Submitting an application does not guarantee membership: every application is reviewed by the Executive Committee, which may decline an application without assigning a reason. Admission fees and subscriptions are set and may be revised by the Executive Committee. Membership is personal and confers no right, title, share or interest in the funds or property of the Foundation.
5. Volunteering
Volunteers serve on an unpaid, voluntary basis and agree to follow the instructions, safety guidance and code of conduct of the Foundation. Volunteers under 18 may take part only as Junior Volunteers with the written consent of a parent or guardian. Registering as a volunteer does not guarantee placement.
6. Requests for assistance
Submitting a request for help does not create an obligation to provide assistance. Support is given at the Foundation’s discretion, according to need, eligibility, our charitable objects and available resources.
7. Content and intellectual property
The RUHA Life Foundation name, logo and original content on this website belong to the Foundation and may not be used without our written permission. Some photographs on this website are illustrative and are used under the Unsplash licence; they may not depict the Foundation’s own beneficiaries or activities.
8. Accuracy of information
We work to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but it is provided for general information only. Programme descriptions describe our objectives and activities; specific activities are carried out subject to available resources and any approvals required by law. The Zakat calculator is a guide and not a religious ruling.
9. Links to other websites
This website may link to third-party websites and services, such as payment providers and maps. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Foundation is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website, or from any interruption or error in its availability.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and the courts of Dhaka shall have jurisdiction over any dispute.
